Celebrating Courage and Resilience

Meet Some of Our
CHD Warriors

Every child with Congenital Heart Disease CHD has a story worth sharing—a story of strength, hope, and determination. Here, we honor some of the incredible kids who inspire us every day with their bravery and spirit. Their journeys remind us why we fight for brighter futures and stronger hearts.

Aiden

Aiden

At just 10 months old, Aiden is already showing incredible strength as a CHD warrior. Born at CHOP, he underwent a life-saving stent procedure just five days after birth and had a Glenn procedure in March. Despite his pre-existing condition, Aiden continues to thrive, proving his resilience every step of the way.

Charlie

Charlie

At 4 years old, Charlie has shown remarkable strength as a CHD warrior. He underwent his first open-heart surgery at just 2 weeks old, facing complications like a heart attack and a long hospital stay. Despite being in heart failure, Charlie has had two more surgeries, multiple catheterizations, and continues to smile through it all, showing his incredible resilience.

Grace

Grace

At just 3 months old, Grace has already shown her fighting spirit. Born with a large VSD and mild to moderate pulmonary stenosis, she underwent open-heart surgery in September 2020. Grace’s resilience at such a young age is an inspiration to all.

Bridgette

Bridgette

At 2 years old, Bridgette is a vibrant and resilient CHD warrior born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). The youngest of four siblings, she brings joy to her family as she prepares to celebrate her 3rd birthday and undergo her 3rd open-heart surgery this fall.

Leo

Leo

Leo, now 4 years old, was born with transposition of the great arteries. He underwent a cardiac catheterization on the day he was born, followed by an arterial switch operation the next day. Under the care of Dr. Natarajan, Leo is thriving and doing great!

Jace

Jace

At just 1 year old, Jace is already a fighter, living with DORV, VSD, severe pulmonary stenosis, and a right aortic arch. His journey includes care at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he was supported by a Trilogy BiPAP machine. Jace’s determination inspires everyone around.

Eleanour

Eleanour

At 3 years old, Eleanour faces multiple CHD conditions, including HLHS, DORV, Heterotaxy, and an unbalanced AV canal. Currently receiving palliative care due to the lack of surgical options, she relies on oxygen while awake. Despite these challenges, Eleanour’s strength and spirit continue to inspire all who know her.
